Life-Embedded Learning

“In times of change, learners inherit the earth…while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.”

Eric Hoffer

Life-embedded learning as an enterprise is becoming more aware of what and how we want to learn and developing the habits that will advance and sustain that learning. It is embracing the necessity to learn intentionally throughout our lives–sometimes informally and episodically, sometimes systematically and passionately. It is connecting our dream quest to intellectual inquiry, to the books we read and the online content we search for and consume, to the skills and techniques we practice and polish.

Learning is a natural and continuous part of life that becomes more fruitful with passion, practice, and connection. While those qualities can be present when we learn in solitude, they can gain energy in the context of a think pond.
